Why do obese people generally have lighter voices?
I don't mean to generalize.. but why is it that most heavy people have lighter and louder voices... It seems all very obese people I know can talk/yell louder than the thinner ones and their voices are very light.

The chest cavity is like a resonating chamber. Obese people have a great deal of adipose pushing up from the belly and in from the chest. This reduces the size of the chest cavity, creating a higher pitch.
Long, tall slender folks have less tissue pushing and have more room (more resonance). They can more easily expand their chest cavity, giving a lower, more gutteral voice.

fat is a testosterone sponge, thus less cirulating, thus less affect on vocal chords.
