Does orange have a real name other than 'orange'?

Well, it falls between the colors of red and yellow on the prism or color wheel. Red and yellow are it's contributory primary colors (orange is a secondary color) so I guess technically you would call it reddish yellow. A yellowish red would make it too strong tending toward red - like rust red not anything like an orange color. Paint manufacturers call orange, orange - like "Cadmium Orange". Even though it is the name of a fruit that's what they call it.
