There is 85% unemployment rate. I have been to Haiti twice on mission trips and I have no idea what their industries are. Most people are just trying to stay alive. There are farmers and people who sell things on the street. Since only 15% of the population works, I would imagine there isn't much industry. Someone stated a tee shirt factory - I wasn't aware of that but am glad to know. On one end of Haiti is an area for tourism. Cruise ships, hotels and such. I haven't made it there yet. I am sure that brings in quite a bit and could be considered an "industry" so to speak. But, sadly enough, the average Haitian doesn't benefit from any industry.
