Why is there a light in the fridge and not in the freezer?

    My freezer on my fridge has a light, and my deep freezer has a light....

    Thats a great question Glen, It would be a nice touch so I dont fumble over thoes midnight snacks in the freezer

    Cause the glass that the light bulb is made of would be very cold and thus shatter when it was turned on.

    both of my freezers have lights! : )

    Because the heat from the bulb would defrost it silly.

    mine does, think older models didn't have them though
