How do I download an animation from the web into a PowerPoint presentation?

I am working on a research project for school about Neptune.

There are some great animations on the web of Neptune's rotation and I would like to insert them into my .ppt however all I get when I download the image is flat .gif file.

How can I get the animation?

try inserting the .gif image into the presentation and see if it still moves
