    TOP 3 WAYS

    3. more transparency... less action behind closed doors, less top secret documents

    2. harsher penalties for those found guilty of corruption... probably not death... but they are abusing a great amount of responsibility... so 20 years in max security wouldn't disappoint me...

THE NUMBER ONE WAY... and the easiest

    1. for people to watch what their Representatives are doing VERY CLOSELY... talk to the Representatives... read the legislation they vote on... and ESPECIALLY the legislation they sponsor...

if everyone just watched their Representative... and let the reps know we're watching... and we see what they are doing... and if EVERYONE asked questions when something didn't make sense (why is the local asphalt company getting a huge tax break, and no one else is? type of question) it would cut corruption in half...

  • Corruption is like death and taxes. Every government is going to have it. You have to find the system that makes it easier to replace corrupt officials without total war and revolution.

Consecutive term limits. Harsh penalties for corrupt officials. The most important is the people need to educate themselves and vote.

Person in the crowd, "Mr. Franklin. What did you get us?"

Ben Franklin, "A democracy. If you can keep it."

Get rid of special interest groups, lobbying, etc. Or corruption will continue.

A National Campaign Fund for elected officials so they are not beholden to Spec. Interests.

Get rid of lobbyists and pay a nominal wage, for the privilege to serve the people.

It's harder than you think... there are many corrupt things going on that not many people know about. Some of those things are for your own good though.

Have it consist of something other than people.....

Because sooner or later, if there are humans involved, it will become corrupt
