I just won a hand like that of PS2 Poker but I thought that wasn't supposed to count...

Aces are high and low in Texas Hold'em. they can count for a ace to 5 straight or a ten to ace straight.

An ace can be the highest card and the lowest card in the deck. As long as you don't have a K-A-2-3-4, an ace can be used in a straight.

Yes! The A-2-3-4-5 straight is known as "the wheel", and it is the lowest straight available.
