Here are some guides to help you out. I assume the last name is two syllables so you want a name that is:

    1. 1, 3, 4 syllables

    2. does not end in the letter D or any other hard sound (eh, ah, k, t, etc...) as this will produce a double hard consonant sound that is not pleasing to the ear.

    3. Check syllables. The name Sabastian Alexander Dobbyn sounds like a great name but the initials spell S.A.D.

All English words ending in D are:

add aid and bad bed bid bod bud cad cod cud dad did dud eld end fad fed fid fud gad ged gid god had hid hod kid lad led lid mad med mid mod mud nod odd old oud pad ped pod pud rad red rid rod sad sod tad ted tod urd wad wed wud yid yod zed

This can be both playful (both my brother and mother have the initials JAW) or embarrassing.

    4. Use names that are from your family (a favorite aunt/uncle etc.) has become very popular. Even moreso is taking an 'old' name and making it fresh with a new spelling. Watch with the colorful spelling of a name to ensure he/she will not have to spell the name everytime.

    5. Ultimately, names should not come from a book or a web site or pressure from friends/family/etc... but should rather be a guide for what you, the parents, want to give to your newborn.

Remember the first gift that is given to a child is his/her name, and many times it is the most important one!

    Good lucka nd congratulations!

My 22 month olds name is Max too! Actually Maxwell. But we also really liked Aiden, Noah, Benette, Miles, Parker, Brody and Cole. For a girl I like Adeline(Addie), Bonnie, Evie, Elle, Lola, Lauren, Abagail(Abbie), Natalie and Maggie. Good luck!

Maxwell Noah. The most favorable name for becoming famous is one consisting of a dactyl followed by a spondee, as at the end of a hexameter: like Nathaniel David.
