A RAW audio file can contain audio in any codec, but is most commonly PCM (see ). Theoretically, you might only need to change the extension ".WAV" to ".RAW" in the filename.

If your original WAV file is not encoded as PCM, however, or you're having problems getting your renamed RAW file properly recognised, you can use the free SWITCH audio converter to convert it to RAW. Download it for free from this page: . This vendor also sells a product called "Switch Plus" on this page, but "Switch" is downloadable for free.

A good program to convert audio file is Total Audio Converters (it supports a bunch of formats such as WAV, MP3, Ogg, MP4, FLAC, APE and others). Free download here

It's a very simple and nice software.

Have the same problem with my RP 5016A. Using the address you got, I downloaded voc2wav and unzipped. Like you, no file. So I went into DOS (accessories/command prompt C:) and CD'd to the directory where I had unzipped to and there was the .exe file for voc2wav. Ran the file and DOS gave me the instructions that the program runs in DOS with the Usage: VOC2WAV sourcefile /switches. I haven't tried it yet with my .voc.... I wanted to tell you what I found out before your query time expired. If you do DOS it looks pretty simple to convert the .voc files. If you don't do DOS, I don't know how to make the voc2wav.exe work. Tom Oops! I just ran voc2wav.exe file in DOS with a file that I downloaded some time ago from my voice recorder.... filename: A0000006.voc. My DOS command was: C:voc2wav.exe A0000006.voc and got the responce: Copyright <c> Creative Technology Pte Ltd, 1991. All rights reserved. File conversion from Creative VOC format to Muti-Media WAVE format. AOOOOOO6.VOC : Not a VOC file. Hmmmmmm. Maybe our RCA digital recorders use a different format that they CALL a ".VOC" file and is not the one that Creative Technology is converting from. What does anyone think? Tom
