"Platonic love in its modern popular sense is an affectionate relationship into which the sexual element does not enter, especially in cases where one might easily assume otherwise. A simple example of platonic relationships is a deep, non-sexual friendship between two heterosexual people of the opposite sexes."

Also some people use the term to mean that even if they want to have a love relationship with the loved or admired person they know is an impossible and unrealistic goal, for example a girl who claim to be "in love with" or admire a movie star.

A platonic relationship is when you have a really close freind, whether it be male or female that you can do what other people might consider "a bit more than friends". for example sharing a bed and maybe having a cuddle, but no more. To put it slightly better, a really close friendship that does not include anything sexual.

Sexless!! Most people that abstain, but have great relation-

ships w/ opposite sex. If you're seeing a person of the opposite sex regularly and not having sex....this is platonic!
