Why doesn't disney?

Why are all their big movies about white people? why can't they ever make one with multi-racial people like asians, hispanics and black people? jewish would be great too.

You mean like "Jump In" or "High School Musical" or "Mulan" or "Aladdin" (all three) or "Lilo and Stitch" or the TV series "Gargoyles" in which the main human protagonist is half African (her mother is from Africa) and half Hispanic, or "Jungle Book" or "Atlantis" where the Atlanteans are racially indeterminate, but certainly not white; or "Pocahontas" or "Haunted Mansion"?

You mean... why doesn't Disney make movies like those?

I can't imagine why Disney doesn't make those sorts of movies...

As a father of 4 daughters... yes... yes I do know my Disney movies, and shows.

This question kinda got me thinking... so I looked through my stacks of Disney movies, and here's a few more...

    Emperor's New Groove

    Brother Bear

    The Proud Family

I don't get why these racist generalizations are falsely levelled.

If you want a legitimate question regarding demographics in Disney movies... ask why there are no homosexual characters.

Not being homosexual, myself, it doesn't matter to me one way or the other. But I started thinking about demographics that are or aren't represented in Disney movies. We have Christians, Pagans, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus... No Jews as far as I can recall, though my memory may be faulty, here... not something I've actively looked for in Disney movies. Blacks, Whites, Hispanics, Arabs, Amerinds, Asians...

Looks like just Jews and Gays/Lesbians/Bis/Transgendered demographics aren't represented. And they may be, but I'm not recalling any.

    Not bad, really...

Aladdin was about middle east people

    Cool Runnings - black people

remember the titans - black and white people

the haunted mansion - eddie murphy BLACK

You obviously do not know what you are talking about, and those are just some, they are not just know under disney, they own paramount I believe so don't talk about that which you do not know, just look it up on the internet

...Pocahontas wasn't about a white person.

...Jasmine, the princess in Aladdin was not white. I'm pretty sure he wasn't either. neither was the bad guy.

    ...Mulan wasn't white either....

lilo and stitch was about Hawaiian people.

also i believe that whoever said disney now owns paramount is right.

AND Hildulf certainly knows disney movies.

Pocahontas, Mulan, and Spirit. Don't forget Hercules. I think Disney just re-makes old stories and fairytales, (Aladdin), and there are not many fairytales that are culturally diverse. Give it time and they will come out with something.

I couldn't agree with you more. But didn't Mulan come from Disney? She is Asian.

Chelsea! Yes! Thank you of reminding me of those! Great examples!

Mulan was Asian, Pocahontas was Native American, Alladin was middle-eastern. Their next one I believe will feature black people.

because white film makers dont want their white audiences being offended by showing a minority getting the happy ending.
