Use the following guidelines when using current employees to endorse your organization:

1. Match the employee with the type of person you are attempting to attract;if you have success with an older employee in a position, for example, use an older worker in the endorsement.

2. Ask current employees to volunteer their ideas. Ask them in advance to consider an open-ended question such as “What do you like most about your job with our company? ”. 5. If you and your employees have identified the best features of your jobs and your organization, provide a list of these features to employees who volunteer to make an endorsement. You could then request that they talk about, in their own words, selected features that have been identified.

6. Don’t edit the message in any significant way. Correct the spelling and punctuation if needed, but allow the employee to focus on the message in his or her own way.

7. Employees can write their own endorsement, or you can give them time to think about a question (for example, “What do you like most about your job and the company?”), and record their answers yourself. Use direct quotes whenever possible;allow the employee to review and change what you have recorded before the endorsement is completed.
