geometry Help?

Given X= (3,4,2) and Y= (6, -2,8), find XY.

And yes there WILL be a "best answer" for the person to get this correct first.

THANK YOU AND GOOD LUCK! ^_^

    sqrt[ (6-3)^2 + (-2-4)^2 + (8-2)^2 ]

    = sqrt(9 + 36 + 36)

    = 9

As the problem is stated, "XY" is not well defined.

In other words, this isn't a math problem, it's a riddle.

    How about 26? Or, maybe, (36, -12, -30)?
