Has anyone ever gotten into a computer system via port 22 (SSH)? Yes. There was a bug in the SSH daemon at one point that allowed a buffer overflow and allowed entry. That should have been fixed on every system at this point.

However, your question seems to be is the information transmitted over port 22 secure against a listener. The answer to that is yes. Especially if you are using SSH-RSA 1024 bit keys. I don't believe anyone has broken a 1024 bit RSA key at this point.
