Ok, first of all take a deep breath, calm yourself down because stress is not good for you or bubba.
I know where you are coming from because the same thing happened to me with 1 exception... you have a midwife specialist who is taking your test results seriously & acting upon them - which is the right thing.
If your Glucose Intolerance Test result came back as being over 5.5 then its a good indication you have developed Gestational Diabetes (GD). You have also described some classic symptoms of GD.
Now please don't worry, because with a good diet & good pre-natal care your pregnancy can go to term without complications & both you & bubba will be well.
Having said that I also want to draw to your attention (and it's fairly intense & worrying) about the complications that GD can cause if not monitored & treated correctly. I am providing you with a link of a topic I did a few weeks ago.
Please ONLY read this if you can look at it objectively... there are also some very good links as well.
Make sure you write down all of your questions that are no doubt swimming in your head and ask the midwife at your appointment to answer ALL of them. If you feel you are being brushed aside, INSIST on answers & explanations.
Most likely you will be put on a low GI diet for the remainder of the pregnancy & your labour will be monitored constantly.
Good luck & please dont fret or stress because this can make things alot worse. Take care :-))))
