    Hydrogen atoms produced from the Kreb Cycle are of a result of the product produced form the Krebs Cycle. As you know the Krebs Cycle takes away hydrogen atoms at different stages. As each hydrogen ion is removed, it is transported to the electron transport chain in the matrix of the mitochondria. The hydrogen ions serve as the energy drive for the Electron Transport Chain. Once one side has a higher hydrogen gradient, ATP can be produced through chemiosmosis. Most ATP is produced in the Electron Transport Chain.
