Ask what type you have to wear; you can get some that are less visible than others. My boss in work is 30, and had to have them put in place at 28; they are due to come off this week.
My daughter had to get them at 14, and she kicked and fought against them all the way; so did my two sons who neede them even more. I won the battle with her, and at 27, she has the most beautiful teeth; my sons refused to continue with treatment, and both now have problems in their twenties with a crowded upper jaw and an overbite, but they are both working now, and will have to pay for it themselves!
Stick with it; you will end up with beautiful straight teeth. Bear in mind it's not just cosmetic; badly positioned teeth and an out-of line-jaw can give you headaches, neckache, postural and eating problems in later life. i promise you, it's worth it. Look after yourself in other ways; always have clean, shiny hair; a nice perfume; wear stuff that suits you; and act as if you are the most beautiful woman in the world.!
