Any time there is a question about a drug test, there will be further investigation. The temperature being off indicates possible adulteration of the sample or a "brought in" sample of someone else's urine. A dilute sample is another "red light" which usually indicates adulteration or maybe the subject has ingested large volumes of fluids to dilute the sample.

That reminds me of the story where a man brought in a urine sample for a drug test. It tested positive for pregnancy. Seriously, there had to be something suspicious about the test and that's why it had to redone.
