Well, for one, you’ll probably bleed. As an admitted self harmer, I know a tad about this. Depending on how deep you cut, you can slice a vein and bleed to death (please don’t). Scarring is likely, although it may go away if the cuts are shallow, and infection is possible if the knife is not clean. Also, it will hurt. The pain will cause your brain to trigger the release of certain chemicals that can include endorphins (the feel-good chemical) or adrenaline. You will bleed profusely but will not die, unless you cut up and down! Why would you ask this questions anyway...life cannot be that bad!
