how safe is your mail?

what i mean is: is it hackeable?

and how easy is it for somebody to hack your mail?

    EXTREMELY EASY if they are trying... since email is not encrypted and is sent over the internet in plain text... In reality there is so much traffic that nobody really cares... like i said, unless u are being targetted. like tero rist or b*mb or somthing, then the Government will surely be picking up on those words...

    if ur sensative info, then you need to encrypt it.. PGP is good software... google it..

    Mail is like anything else. It is hackable but if you are smart then you should be fine. A few basic tips should keep you safe. Make sure your email login credentials are always encrypted when sent over the Internet. Change your password every so often. Know that typically email is sent unencrypted, so don't send confidential information such as passwords or credit card numbers. Don't open mail from someone you don't know. Do a little research on mail safety and you'll find plenty of information on the web.

    Fairly safe. Particularly if you use OpenBSD.
