From city centre to the furthest outskirt is about 12km
About 1.5 million people live here.
About 20% of people are urbanized in Kenya. Most Kenyans live in rural areas.
Nairobi and Kenya in general is fairly developed in African and third world standard. We have tarmacked roads, railway lines, one international airport in Nairobi and two in other cites of Mombasa and Eldoret.Several airstrips.Very many five star hotels and other big class hotels in Nairobi and other cities and towns.Beautiful beach hotels along our beautiful coastline.numerous wildlife in our game parks and good network of roads to these parks. You can also travel by air to these parks.Remember the seventh worder of the world!migration of the wildebeest in our famous Masai Mara.Climatic conditions is very good all year round.Several tour companies also provide services to tour destinations. There are also cruise ships in the Indian ocean and several lakes in our country. This is not all come and see for yourself. You would like it.We are fairly developed.
We have a democratic government, western style where we elect our government every five years and our country is fairly peaceful. Our highly trained police force provide internal security and our highly trained army secure our borders. We are peaceful as per world standard. For more needs and details or clarification you can email me.Iam ready to help.Kenyans and Nairobians are welcoming.

good question- i went there two summers ago with my family...Founded in 1899, it became the seat of government for British East Africa in 1905 and capital of independent Kenya in 1963. Population: 2,500,000. In terms of development, it does have the appearance of a medium-sized metropolitan city but it surrounded by outlying shanty towns and rural villages. Depending on who you ask, government stability is much more secure than other Eastern African countries. According to the U.S. embassy, it is one of the safest places to visit in Africa, so as long as you use common sense, you should have an enlightening and enjoyable trip.Source(s): http://nairobi.usembassy.gov/
