They're both Tacoma's. Frame, body panels, etc. are identical. The TRD sport package (BTW, there is a TRD offroad package offered as well) is a performance package available for the Tacoma. TRD stands for Toyota Racing Development which is Toyota's internal performance division. Performance meaning horsepower, but also handling.
