ex-husbands tax return was offset due to back child support?
i live in michigan, and my ex's tax return was offset due to back child support, i would like to know when will i actually get the money. i've called the friend of the court and have gotten no answers to this question. so i am wondering are there any websites or any other places i can call to ask this. thanks in advance for any help

it'll take a month or two. no way to track it, thats why you cant any answers from FOC. they take it, do lots (and lots) of paperwork, then re issue the funds to the appropriate party (you).
just look at it like pennys from heaven...

Living in Michigan, I know that it takes awhile for the Friend of the Court to bring their files current. Be patient. Your ex-husband could not have filed that long ago. Also, have you received any public assistance? If so, that money will go there first.Source(s): Personal

I wouldn't count on it anytime soon....don't depend on it; just wait to be surprised. I would have to guess that it will be about the same time he got his tax return and definately before July 1.
