Is Onyx a good surface in a bathroom countertop or to surround tub? How about limestone?

Onyx, like Marble is a very soft stone. You can use it in a bathroom but remeber that you can not use any normal bathroom cleansers on it like 409 or scrubbing bubbles. Only soap and water to clean. Limestone is very porous and will soak up soap scum like crazy. It also scratches very easily and is difficult to clean. If you go with Onyx, read the label on all cleaners and see if there are any caustic chemicals in it like clorine. If so, don't use it.

onyx is soft any thing could scratch it use lime stone and seal it real good
