The more effective workout, 20 pushups an hour or 200 in one setting?

    Variety is the best. If you do 10 push-ups and then do something else for a minute and then do push-ups again, then you're shocking your muscles and body more and the work-out becomes more effective.

    It's the same with running and walking. If you're walking, sprint for about 8 seconds, then catch your breath, walk and then sprint again for 8 seconds as fast as you can. Continue this. Tests have shown your body gets a better work-out when you shock it.

    If you can do 200 push ups then you could probably only do about 20 Hindu push ups, regular push ups are only working part of you muscles for a complete body workout for pure strength than Hindu push ups are what you need

    It depends on what your capable of doing. If you can knock out 200 at a time go for it, it you can only do 20 at a time than that's good too.

    20 push ups in on hour is better for you. i heard from a fitness expert that the more you do is bad for you b/c ur body gets used to it and once it becomes used to the workout you have to increase your load to see more results.
