Turn off mains tap before you start (MOST IMPORTANT) mains tap usually located at front of property. Look at tap and you will see that there is a hex shape on tap, this is for a spanner, unscrew tap from body, once tap is removed, look inside body and you will see the old washer, there are many different types, but they all work the same. Go to local hardware store and ask for new washer same as one in your hand and a roll of teflon, or plumbers tape. Place new washer into body of tap same way as the old one came out. Teflon tape is then wrapped around thread on tap, about five or six times, remove old tape first if there is any, and then screw tap back into body. turn mains water tap back on and check for leaks. you can buy a complete kit to replace both washers and a roll ot teflon tape for around ten dollars.

The stiffness can regularly be cured with a few Plumbers grease at the tap stem threads. Since you've already transformed the washing machine, check out going extra down the deliver line. Turn off the bloodless water deliver valve underneath the sink. Disconnect the deliver tube. Hold a rag over the valve and switch it off and on 2 or 3 occasions. This will have to filter out any particles that can have accumulated in it. While it's nonetheless disconnected, keep a box underneath the deliver line and open the sizzling water tap (with the bloodless water tap within the open function). On a few taps, the sizzling water will pass over and filter out particles within the bloodless water tubing. Reconnect the deliver line and take a look at it.

Unscrew the hose from the tap. Look inside the hose and you will see a (mostly) red ring in the screw area of the hose. Use a screwdriver or any tool to pull it out, and then replace with a new ring.
