One such case is US v. Garcia from the U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, case number 06-2741, decided on 2/2/07. The court affirmed a conviction for manufacturing methamphetamine where evidence was obtained as a result of a tracking device attached to defendant's car by police without a warrant was properly admitted since such surveillance does not constitute a search under the Fourth Amendment.

Most cases come out this way, because the US Supreme court has been diminishing our protection under the 4th amendment since the Nixon administration when the court started is movement to the right.
