lexmark printer model p6250 error message 2200 help.?

every time i switch the printer on it comes up with the error message 2200..(theres no jam or blockage). It has done this once before and i was ready to bin printer but it seemed to fix itself. But now it has happened again..help

    read the instructions or if you don't have them go to the lexmark site & download them

    Step Action

    1 Power off the All-In-One (AIO) and remove the power supply from the back of the unit. Wait 30 seconds. Then reinsert the power supply and power the AIO on.

    Did the error message return?

    Yes: Continue to step 2.

    No: Attempt a test scan. If the error message does not reappear, the error is resolved.

    2 Power off the AIO and remove the power supply from the back of the unit. Open the scanner cover. Check the scanner glass for cracks and the scanner casing for cracks. Close the scanner lid. Open the top cover of the AIO. Using the carrier belt, move the cartridge carrier to the middle of the unit. Remove both cartridges, close the top cover, reinsert the power supply, and power the AIO on.

    Did the error message return?

    Yes: Continue to Contacting Lexmark.

    No: Continue to step 3.

    3 Power off the AIO and remove the power supply from the back of the unit. Open the top cover of the AIO. Using the carrier belt, move the cartridge carrier to the middle of the unit. Insert the color cartridge, close the top cover, reinsert the power supply, and power on the AIO.

    Did the error message return?

    Yes: Repeat step 3 with another color cartridge. If the printer fails again, continue to step 4.

    No: Repeat step 3 and install the black/photo cartridge. If both cartridges are installed, attempt a test scan. If the error message does not reappear, the error is resolved.

    4 Power off the AIO and remove the power supply from the back of the unit. Open the top cover of the AIO. Using the carrier belt, move the cartridge carrier to the middle of the unit. Remove the color cartridge and insert the black/photo cartridge. Then close the top cover, reinsert the power supply, and power the AIO on.

    Did the error message return?

    Yes: Repeat step 4 with another black/photo cartridge. If the printer fails again, continue to Contacting Lexmark.

    No: Install the color cartridge. If the printer fails, continue to Contacting Lexmark. If the error message does not appear with both cartridges installed, attempt a test scan. If the error message does not reappear, the error is resolved.

    Bin it and get an Epson. I have a Lexmark all-in-one which is only good for scanning.

    click "start up" button on left area of the very own pc to popup start up menu, click "Run" in start up menu to open Run window. type the word "amenities.MSC" (without costs) in "Open :" container, click ok button or press enter key on the keyboard. A Window will pop up with maximum of amenities listed. discover "PRINT SPOOLER" provider from the checklist of amenities. good-click on "PRINT SPOOLER"--->"restart" If this doesnt artwork... click start up, then administration Panel. >> click Printers and different Hardware. >> click Printers and Faxes. come across the Deskjet printer. >> good-click the HP printer icon. >> click residences. >> click the very best tab. >> click Print directly to the Printer, then click stick to. >> click okay to close the Printer residences window. close all open homestead windows and attempt printing lower back.
