How can I turn it off so that I can use a PCI-e x1 graphics card?

    You have to go into the BIOS setup program while the computer is booting and disable the onboard graphics. Usually, pressing "delete" key while booting will take you there, but some computes us the F1 or F10 keys and some even use ESC key, good luck
