my boy friend has hairy cell lukemia, has anyone had this before, or can offer me any good links or info?
what will he go through with chemo, and after the chemo?

Depends on the kind of chemo that he gets. If it's the kind that they inject in a slow drip, it will be rough going for him and you better be strong for him. His hair will gradually fall out, he'll become weaker, there may be some vomiting, rash, diarrhea. There'll be days when he won't want to talk to anyone, including you. But the days that he needs support, do whatever he asks within reason. When he recovers you can make him take you to the best restaurant in town because he'll owe you that. If you're a religious person, pray a lot.
