Where can I get Laptop DVD writers?

I have a HP laptop with a CD Writer/DVD Rom combo drive. I want to replace it with a DVD Writer. Anyone know which writer is best and from where I can buy it?

    it's better to get a external drive. Though its a bit troublesome, but it can be used on different maachines giving you the freedom to burn dvd as and when you wan

    Most Optical Drives Have to be purchased from the Equipment manufacturer but http://www.newegg.com/ might have what your looking for

    www.newegg.com is the place man. if you are going to buy one make sure that you buy an NEC it's like 10 bucks more than philips or NU but trust me it's worth it.

    The Manufacturer, besides buying from them is good since you have warranty and also compatibility.
