    Seriously, they kicked Mohammad out of Mecca, consequently he became angry and started preaching all that mean stuff in the 2nd half of the Koran. (Search Koran)

    No TV no radio no telephone, news were spread with trade. I think that the prophet himself was a merchant . However it could be sensible to check the trade routes in the Middle Est to understand how the caravans were distributing goods as well as ideas.

    When they sold items they may have sold copies of the Qu'ran, the language spread out along the routes. Muslims aritfacts were sold to other places. Knowledge spread from Arab lands around the world.
