    Geometric Mean (G. M) of two numbers a and b is given by:

    G.M.= sq rt(a*b).

    For example, geometric mean of 2 and 8 is sq rt(2*8) = sq rt(16) = 4 or - 4.

    Between two numbers, say a and b, the geometric mean is sqrt(ab).

    So if you want the geometric mean of 2 and 7, sqrt(2*7)=sqrt(14) is the geometric mean.
