I need some help ---- on... imperialism....?
Here's the question:
In the bid for colonies, did smaller nations benefit from colonization or suffer exploitation at the hands of larger, imperialistic nations?
any help would be greatly appreciated... I think I may fail History!!!!

well, depending on the colony, it could be a swing in either direction. Hawaii for example, when missionaries began showing up, the usual diseases started moving in and taking out the local population. Its sugar grew well, and the US cancelled its tariff on Hawaii's sugar, and sugar farmers profited greatly. Their profits motivated them to overturn their current government to be annexed into the US
