can anyone help me compare these 2 court cases:?

Brown v. the Board of education and Plessy v. Ferguson...

    Both these cases dealt with segregation. Plessy v Ferguson was first and that case said separate but equal is ok. I believe this case took place in 1896. Brown v Board of Education took place in 1954 which essentially overturned Plessy saying separate is inherently unequal. This case was the start of public desegregation, even though many southern states refused to enforce the judgment. Some schools in Delaware didn't even desegregate some schools until the 1970s. But while some racism does exist, America has come a long way in the last 50 years.
