Search on Google seem to indicate that it's possibly one of several problems with Internet Explorer:
1) An unstable version of Internet Explorer 7.0. Make sure you have Internet Explorer 7.0 Service Pack 2 installed (Select Help > About Internet Explorer from the Internet Explorer menu and see if there's SP2 listed somewhere). If not, click on the fourth link below to get and install it. Or do Start > Windows Update.
2) Unnecessary add-ons, like Yahoo! Toolbar (go to Tools > Manage Add-ons and disable unnecessary features).
3) Visiting a web site with an unstable ActiveX applet (probably less likely).
