Tobacco is very addicting and once you start its hard to stop... Many people smoke because they need to clam down in may ways nicotine is described as a drug...

I can't really answer your question becuz every one smokes becuz of different reasons:

They are surrounded by people who smoke...

They feel depression..

They feel per pressure from friends....

The thing you need to know is that smoking kills and It doesn't discriminate...
