How do I set up my SATA hard drive so it reads on my computer?
I bought a new hard drive (80g Western Digital) which is now SATA compatible rather than the old IDE but now my computer does not read my new drive........any ideas!!!!!! Please tell me the steps to make the chnages, thanks:)

You have to go into the setup (F2 at first screen) at the begining of startup on some comps. Config it to SATA.
BIOS upgrade mabe? Look on the motherboards home site.
If you specify a little more (Motherboard make & model number) we may be able to help a little more :)

First, does your PC have a SATA interface?
Second, assuming it does, check your BIOS settings. SATA may be disabled in the BIOS.
