Can an orphaned child grow up to have attachment problems?

If the child has had no one to attach to, YES. Just because they are orphaned, NO. People attach out of basic need and neccesity. If there is someone along the way that has stepped up to the plate and took on the responsibility to care and love a child that has been abandoned by their natural parent, as long as that relationship is good and pure, they should grow up normally. Questions may arise along the way about that childs birth parents, but for that child to be able to physically, mentally and socially attach to other human beings is not going to be as great as if the child had never experienced another persons love and care.

Anyway, why do you have this posted under "yahoo mail"? Seriously. This should be under psychology or something along that line.

Yes, most of them do.
