how long should a 13 year old girl run a day?

    depends on what your going for. if its just to keep in shape, than just 1 maybe 2 miles a day if your dedicated. if your trying out for some cross country team than 3-4 miles a day. of course keeping in shape doesnt mean you have to just run. just walking 2-3 miles a day for your age should be fine.

    To stay in shape = 1.5 miles to 2.5 miles (with controlled diet)

    To build up stamina= 3 to 5 miles /per day

    you can walk if you wanna stay in shape it doesnt have to be running. I rather prefer running for like 500mts to 600 mts at first and then slow down to jogging and eventually walk. This way you don't get too fatigued. this also helps your breathing.
