Even if he wasn't right about this, no one whose read his work or studied his biography can doubt his genius!

He alone is responsible for the U.S.D.A. The United States Department of Agriculture and Food Safety Inspection Service. That means everytime someone inspects your food for safety its thanks to HIM. I'm a retired Food Safety Inspector and a fan of his work, The Jungle.

However, about this. . . yes, I'd agree somewhat. Simply because America is too "red scare" to allow communism or anything else IN. But by putting it behind a "christian doctrine" you could sneak it past, because then it has "God's approval" and that's good enough for the masses. Meaning, lets not think and just react. If we ask, it must mean were not good Christians.

Christ would never "buy that." He would always seek proof of His fathers hand in everything!

I think that it would be hard for it to do otherwise. Someone said that the downfall of America would be its own people, which is true. It's highly unlikely that anyone'd manage to take over from the outside. We expect our leaders to be Christian and very pro-USA. Most of us are too busy with too many worries to pay too much attention; it wouldn't be hard to convince most people. Once you got that, you're halfway there.

I don't really want to get into this argument, but it's really the best way. Okay, look what's happened in the past few years. Ten years back, did you ever think you'd be debating with your fellow Americans over whether we should _torture_ people? Or whether it's okay to tap people's phones without warrants? Or if our government should be able to disappear people? The Bush administration convinced lots of people of their godliness and called their detractors traitors as they brought our country to those sorts of debates. If Bush wasn't considered such a good Christian who was just trying to save us from those who hate our freedoms, do you really think he'd have gotten so far?

nicely, whilst Hitler took over Germany, he became particularly patriotic, and promised the international(actually). human beings however he became a large guy, and he relatively did good stuff for Germany. Churchill even had a large admiration for him, until he started pulling all of those shennanigans in overdue 30s. So, if united states ever will become fascist, it is going to probable be in a time of want, with a chief who delivers to help united states, for united states, with the aid of united states. he would be a good guy(on the outdoors), and could comprehend what he's speaking approximately.

Yes. I am Christian I love America but am making sure I am loyal to Christ first. And then maybe country second. I'd rather see America stay secular and free, than theocratic and oppressive.
