There are quite a few red flags going up here. No trying to burst any bubbles here, but trust me, I know what I'm talking about.
1. No manager who is legitimite would sign ANYONE to a five year contract. 12-18 months is the longest you'll see. I would love to know the name of this "manager". Are they a member of the TMA (talent managers association)?
2. Orange County?????? Again, red flags, and although Orange County is in Southern California; the agents, the casting directors, etc are all located in the Hollywood/Los Angeles/Santa Monica areas. I live in the outskirsts LA County and it can be a rough communte to get to auditions, especially the late afternoon ones, due to the traffic. There is no way on God's green earth that I would make that same commute from Orange County - not to mention that Orange County is one of the most expensive areas to live is So Cal with the average - repeat AVERAGE - home costing $650,000 ++++.
I applaude anyone who wants to pursue the acting field. It's a lot of fun, but it's also a LOT of hard work, so never give up on the dream, it's just that this "manager" sounds fishy to me.

A contract really means nothing when you are ten because you cannot legally sign a contract until you are 18. If the contract means you are going to get work in tv or film then your parents may want to move. Their ten percent of your pay may be more than they are making, and it might be wise for them to take you to orange county.
I find the whole thing a little odd however. What is in orange co.? Disneyland and that's it. It sounds like your being snowed. I am an actor in LA and am a little suspicious of the whole thing. Does your parents know about this contract?
If you are serious about acting never give up! But be careful how you go about it. The work is in LA and unless you have a big pay check movie deal stay where you are and learn to act.Source(s): Actor 40 years

With no real offense, in this craft and you being 10 stating male, with a name like Consuela I suspect you can find multiple sponsers

Your parents should talk to your manager, perhaps he and his wife can be your sponsor, since he represents you. You can give up temporarily until your parents are settled in their new city and house.
