Is it possible to record my lp's to vhs tape?

My old tape player/recorder is only recording on one channel. I've heard that you can use vhs tape as a recording medium for audio; lp's etc.

Sure you can. I used to do it all the time. With a hifi VCR in lp mode you can put seven or eight albums on each tape. If your VCR has indexing capability you can have easy access to each one. Just put an index marker at the start of each album and when you fast-forward it will automatically stop at the beginning of each one.

Yes, but why would you want to? You would have to connect your stereo to the video's audio input and then record the LP. But if you were going to go to that much touble why not just record them to CD? There are software programs available and are generally very user friendly.
