DNA can be found inside the nucleus of almost every living cell. They have been found in cell organelles as well, such as chloroplasts and mitochondria (mtDNA). Scientists have theorized that the presence of DNA in such organelles shows the evolutionary past of these organelles as autotrophic (such case in chloroplast) and heterotrophic (such case in mitochondria) bacteria. Mitochondrial DNA, interestingly, can be used in maternity tests since this DNA is almost similar to our mother's DNA since the egg contains this at time of fertilization. Sperm do not contribute any mitochondria whatsoever to the fertilized egg.

Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is a nucleic acid that contains the genetic instructions for the development and function of living things. All known cellular life and some viruses contain DNA. The main role of DNA in the cell is the long-term storage of information. It is often compared to a blueprint, since it contains the instructions to construct other components of the cell, such as proteins and RNA molecules. The DNA segments that carry genetic information are called genes, but other DNA sequences have structural purposes, or are involved in regulating the expression of genetic information.

In eukaryotes such as animals and plants, DNA is stored inside the cell nucleus, while in prokaryotes such as bacteria, the DNA is in the cell's cytoplasm. Unlike enzymes, DNA does not act directly on other molecules; rather, various enzymes act on DNA and copy its information into either more DNA, in DNA replication, or transcribe it into protein. In chromosomes, chromatin proteins such as histones compact and organize DNA, as well as helping control its interactions with other proteins in the nucleus.

DNA matter is found inside the nucleus of a cell.It is nulceic acid used to form genes of the organism. It is inside the DNA that the genetic information of the devolopment and function of the organism is found.

I have given the sources below.

  • DNA is found in the nuculus of the cell were it is in the form of chromosones but during mitosis it will be free in the cell then go to the center and things called spindal fibers will seperate the chromosomes into chromotids and the once again the nuculus will form around it and form two diffrent identical cells

Genes are the subunits of DNA, in which you inherit from your parents. There are four nucleotides in DNA, which is Thymine, Adanine, Guanine, and Cytosine, don't get DNA confused with RNA! In RNA, instead of Thymine, it has the nucleotide, Uracil. DNA is what makes you, you. It is all throughout your body, no specific place.

DNA is found in the Nucleus of a cell and cells are found everywhere in your body, even in the most awkward places.

DNA is almost like a code. Everyone has a different one and it blueprints your life from growth to eye color. It is fascinating to study and I'm sure you'd be very interested if you took some time to study it and look into it! It's fun to learn about!

each cell in our body has the nucleus which contains the chromosome .this chromosome is made of DNA . a cell organell mitochondria also has the DNA of its own

DNA (deoxyribonucleic acids) are the primary source of genetic information in plants and animals, and theyb are found in the cell nucleus and in mitochondria.
