So where is Dick Clark?

How come they can call it "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" when he's not even there in Times Square? They might as well call it "Saddam Hussein's New Year's Rockin' Eve" because he has a better chance of showing up there.

Outside of remaining active as a cohost of the show, Dick Clark's company also produces "New Years Rockin Eve". It is Dick's choice according to interviews with Ryan Seacrest as to how involved he is with the show. One can only guess that it's difficult for him to increase his on-air involvement with the program due to his stroke two years ago.

He was there in a television studio overlooking Times Square. He was most active on the program at approximately 11:30pm eastern and around the stroke of midnight where he counted down to the beginning of the new year.

    Hope this helps!
