Did you ever see the movie "MY Cousin Vinnie"?

    That's a trick question!

No one can answer that question because the FXRS Low Rider wasn't produced until 1982 and in 1982 it was offered in a rubber mounted 1340 cc / 80 ci engine with a five speed transmission....lol.

The "Low-Rider" model, first sold 1978-1985 was the "Hot" ride of it's day! Any bike that old should be "checked out" by a professional H-D mechanic. It will be well worth the "Too-Much" money he/she would charge to get a true assessment of the vehicles over-all condition, and worth. A good price on an old harley is when the new owner thinks he didn't pay to much? The "SuperGlide II" came out in 1984 with the first EVO engine, and became the new "LowRider in 1985

Perhaps I can make this a little clearer. The current FXDL Low Rider is based on the Dyna Glide frame, and has been since 1993. Prior to that the Low Rider was called the FXRS. The FXR frame was the rubbermount cruiser then (By the way, the current FLH, ElectraGlide frame is a modified version of the the FXR frame). Prior to that, the solid engine mount FX frame was used for the LowRider. Originally called the FXS, the FXSB was simply the belt final drive version. There were other versions of the Low Rider, but these are the basic ones.

If it is in great condition should be around 6 to 7 thousand dollars, course this depends on any modifications that have been made to it through the years, nothing like riding a low rider and be the envy of all.

depending on modifications and condition, you could spend anywhere from 2 or 3 thousand to over ten thousand. if you're not very well versed in what you are doing-take alond a knowledgable friend. and, do not be afraid to ask that friend for a real evaluation of value before you buy.
