How long does it take to travel the Panama Canal by ship?

Update:

A ship is a vessel that helps you travel from one place to another, a means of travel. (eg. a cruise ship)

8 to 10 hours is correct. If you are thinking of visiting, there is another way to see the canal that requires less of you day bound to a boat. There's a train the runs along side the canal all the way into Colon with only one brief stop in between in a small place called Frijole. Depending on the season you may have to travel one direction in the morning and return in the evening. But at least at the other end you'll get to explore Colon.

For information about shopping in Colon which is a great free zone see http://www.panamaexpertos.com/forum/free-zone-shop...
