Technical writing is, essentially, supplying instructions on how to do something in written format ... this could be how to tune a guitar, make a pot of coffee using a coffeemaker, install software on your computer, administer first aid, train new employees or provide answers on Yahoo!Answers. In addition, technical writing is a bit of an oxymoron as it is anything but technical ... the language used is plain English (no specialized terms foreign to the common reader) and often is written in point form. Common examples of technical writing include instruction manuals and Webhelp.

Technical Writing is for manuals that describe how to do something technically.
