After many years with diabetes [ I am assuming you have dealt with diabetes some time now from the use of pork insulin ] Some people become unaware of impending lows. There is a technical name for it but I don't remember it.

Talk to your doctor about it, always carry carbs with you and check more often than you ever though you would.

Always check before driving or going to bed.

The human insulin is so much better for you.

    Good luck.

If you start to feel sick, dizzy, hot and/or shaky then there is

a good chance your sugar is too low. That is when you haul out

your testing supplies and check. Just try and eat 3 squares

a day and snack on healthy food in between meals. They you

    won't have to worry.

My husband is a diabetic, and this is what he said to tell you:

First, severe irritability, severe cold sweats, incoherent, seizures is the last, but with seizures come shaking, twitching (strong). Before you get to the last one, seizures, call the EMT'S, because you can go into a diabetic coma.

See your doctor and check your blood sugar with a monitor. They sell them at pharmacies; however, your doc should be able to give you a free one.

There is great dependable info at the site below: http://www.diabetes.org/about-diabetes.jsp

At my diabetes class they taught us this little ditty:

"Hot and dry, sugar is high.

Cool and clamy, you need candy."

    Peace be with you!

Didn't you get a meter to test it, and didn't you go to the classes that are mandatory for diabetics?
