You are a bit vague here. Spy Sweeper, AdAware and Spybot are all anti-spywares. The basic regular ZoneAlarm is a firewall only. However there is also a ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite that includes anti-virus, anti-spyware and a firewall.

Basically for good computer security you require all 3; A-S, A-V , FW.

All you are stating is that you have 3 A-S programs, which is not sufficient security. You need to add a firewall (ZoneAlarm will be fine) and an anti-virus (Anti-Vir, AOL Active Virus Shield, and Avast are all good free ones).

Just remember, more is not better in this case; use only 1 software firewall (never turn it off even for a minute) and 1 good anti-virus at the same time. Multiple anti-spywares are OK as long as only 1 has real-time resident protection.

    Good luck!

Firstly, A happy new year to you.

Now what u need to understand is that you need a firewall, and a good one at that, period.

Whether or not you have anti virus and/or anti spyware softwares is immaterial.

Also as someone mentioned(wrongly) that windows firewall is good enough, Sadly, it's not.

Windows firewall is only an incoming one whereas good firewalls listen and monitor both incoming and outgoing traffic.

Zone alarm is good, and you just need the free version if you do not need the anti-spy.

    Regards and enjoy

zone alarm is a firewall program. If you have win Xp with service pack 2, you don't need zone alarm. Windows has a firewall built in.
